My role in this project was to help create a most viable product for the client. Using the client's investor pitch deck to understand their product and goals, I was tasked with creating a flowchart, web designs, and mobile designs to help their company land seed money for development.

We started the design process by doing extensive research on competitors that sell products and tickets for events. Researching key competitors helped us figure out the best way to organize content by level of importance to customers. After organizing the content into an outline, I created a flowchart detailing how the pages would link to one another.

Without a brand to work from, and with only a two days to make one, I put together a color palette, font family, and a placeholder logo and sent it to the client for approval. Using the flowchart as a guide, I dived straight into designing the interface for web and mobile. Since the client only gave us a month to produce a prototype, we had to skip the wireframing process.

After designing the user interface for web and mobile, I put together a prototype for the client to be able to click through key pages when presenting to an investor.

Researching the Competition

Researching the competition for this project was key because with a short deadline, we needed to organize the content in a flowchart. Without the ability to talk directly to potential customers and gather data on what key features to focus on, we used our competitors as a guide to figure out level of importance of content. Learning how companies like Amazon and Stubhub organized their content gave us insights on how to group and organize content by level of importance.
