Pet Camp
Manage reservations, vaccines, and vet info

Pet boarding that offers overnight and day camping, pick-up/drop off services, bathing, and counseling.
My role for this client was to design the app for customers and administrators to book and manage reservations, vaccines, and vet info. We designed the app as a template so other pet sitting companies could buy it and integrate their brand colors.
We discussed the goals of the app and the key features that needed to be integrated. We reviewed the information architecture to get a better understanding of how data would be synced from the servers to the app.
After getting an understanding of the information architecture, we created wireframes that were broken down into task flows. Using the wireframes, we created the user interface and prototyped the designs in Invision. The prototypes were used to present and gather client feedback. After receiving feedback and reiterating, we updated the prototypes with the client approved designs to hand off to the development team.

Key Challenges
Simplifying the way customers book a reservation with Pet Camp.
Increasing reservations booked per month.
Improving customer support to reduce response wait times.

The Solutions
App for customers to book an appointment.
An all inclusive marketing campaign and UI design template that could be used by other companies to build a pet reservation app.
Customer support feature on the app that allows users to easily call and text support, or get directions to Pet Camp.
UI Design
When approaching the design, we wanted to keep everything as simple as possible to allow other companies to integrate their own brand without ruining the integrity of the customer experience.
Information Architecture
Using the target audience and existing website as a starting point, we created a diagram to figure out how the app should flow from page to page. Keeping in mind that this would be used as a mobile app template for other companies, we wanted to make sure that menu items in the navigation could can be edited, removed, or added.
Task Flows & Wireframes
Using the flowchart as a guide, we built out wireframes using task flows to outline key features that would be implemented into the app.

Integrating a Different Brand
After designing the mobile app for Pet Camp, other pet sitting companies saw how their customers could benefit from it too. Below is an example of how another brand, Dogwood Acres, was integrated into the UI of the app.
