Schedule appointments with nearby barbers, beauty professionals, or spa specialists.

All professionals on the app are licensed in their field. Services include: hair, nails, skin, makeup, and massages brought to the customer or the professionals’ place.

From concept to reality, I was involved in all aspects of creating this app. Beginning with a friend's idea, I conducted market analysis with colleagues to find out how booking appointments could be improved for beauticians and customers. We then defined user personas to gain a better understanding of customer's needs and beautician's needs. 

Using the personas and corresponding problems, we brainstormed solutions we could provide with a mobile app. Focusing on key personas and solutions, we started working on Pamperfly.  

To kick off the design process, I set up meetings with beauty professionals such as cosmetologists, makeup artists, hair stylists, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians, and massage therapists. 

Learning how beauty professionals manage appointments, provide services, and receive payments helped us to better understand common pain points that beautician's were having. We then worked with engineering to create a feature impact and effort chart, which helped us decide the features that would be integrated in the first version of the app, and which features that would be integrated later. From there I worked on the design process to hand off to the dev team.
